Description
A special product from the LITHOFIN-Range for marble, natural and concrete stone (MN). Lithofin MN Stain-Stop contains high quality water and oil resistant components based on alkoxysilanes.

Properties
Lithofin MN Stain-Stop penetrates into the surface and coats the capillaries with an extremely thin, invisible film. Oil, grease and water are not absorbed by the surface, but remain on the surface (12 to 36 hours on polished marble and limestone, up to 48 hours on granite and gneiss). During this time, oil can easily be removed without leaving stains. The effectiveness depends on the amount of product absorbed by the surface. The appearance of the natural stone is not affected. Some stones may become slightly darker in colour. The water absorbency of the stone is greatly reduced; the water permeability is only slightly affected. The product is UV resistant and does not yellow.

Field of Use
For invisible protection against staining and for facilitating maintenance of all natural stone surfaces, including polished marble. Perfect for use on wall and floor surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as on table tops, window sills and other sensitive surfaces.
Please Note: marble and limestone will remain sensitive to acid.

Directions for Use
Always try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use. The surface to be treated must be completely dry and clean. Working in small areas (10 to 15m²) apply product generously and evenly until the surface appears wet.
On dense stones: keep wet between 5 and 15 minutes and ensure
even distribution. Completely remove all excess – do not allow to dry on the surface if not being absorbed into the stone.
On highly absorbent stones: keep wet between 5 to 15 minutes and ensure even distribution. Within 1 hour repeat the process up to four times, depending on the absorbency of the stone. Do not remove the impregnator from the surface during that time. Then completely remove all excess - do not allow to dry on the surface if not being absorbed into the stone. Immediately check the whole surface for an even finish. Allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours.
Attention! the liquid product must sink into the stone. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Wipe off excess product within 15 min.
Please Note: Non-absorbent surfaces cannot be impregnated. Glass, ceramics, wood, and other surfaces sensitive to solvents must be protected against splashes.
Application Temperature: the temperature of the surface should be between 10°C and 25°C. Avoid working in direct sunlight. Switch off under floor heating.
Drying Time: Surfaces are safe to use after several hours. Complete curing process and effectiveness of the treatment will take approx. 5 days. During this time, do not cover the surface and wipe up any spills immediately.
Coverage: depends on the absorbency of the stone.
Estimates:
polished surfaces: 12 to 25m²/litre
rough/honed granite: approx. 5-7m²/litre
porous sandstone: approx. 3-6 m²/litre

Durability
The durability depends on the care products used. Strong degreasing or layer forming products are unsuitable to use. Heavily used surfaces such as kitchen counters should be retreated once a year.
Advice: Remove stain causing materials from impregnated surfaces immediately. For regular maintenance of kitchen counter tops we recommend Lithofin MN Easy-Clean.

Storage
Closed, cool and dry up to 3 years. Open containers should be used without delay.

Environmental Protection
Contains solvents, free of chlorinated hydrocarbons. Do not flush down drain.
Disposal: liquid product is classified as special waste. Containers are made of environmentally friendly tin plate. Clean containers can be recycled through collection systems.

Safety
Active ingredients pose no health concerns once dry (according to tests by LGA Nuremberg). Ensure good ventilation during and after use. Special safety instructions apply when sprayed. Do not use in rooms where food is stored.
Contents: naphtha (petroleum) hydrotreated heavy, n-butyl acetate, auxiliary agents.

Risk and Safety Phrases: Flammable. Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not breathe vapour. Avoid contact with skin. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
First Aid Procedures:
Remove contaminated soaked clothing immediately. In case of inhalation, move victim to open area. In the event of symptoms refer for medical treatment. In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting. If swallowed by mistake drink plenty of water and seek medical treatment.
Emergency Procedures:
In case of spill or other release, take up with absorbent material (e.g. sand, sawdust, general-purpose binder). In case of fire formation of dangerous gases possible.
Suitable extinguishing material: foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sand.
